Join Our Team as a Children’s Team Leader!
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? At Bayview Childcare, we’re looking for a motivated Residential Home Team Leader to join our family-style home in Capernwray, Carnforth. You will play a vital role in supporting up to four young individuals aged 8-18 with social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
About the Role
As a Team Leader, you will help create a safe and nurturing environment while supporting daily operations and maintaining Good/Outstanding Ofsted standards. You will also have the opportunity to deputise for the Registered Manager when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce, review, and maintain high-quality care plans in line with legislation and Ofsted standards.
- Build positive relationships with young people and engage them in activities that support their development.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive environment by modeling positive behavior and ensuring adherence to policies.
- Record and communicate key information, sharing updates with young people, families, and professionals.
- Support daily operations in the absence of the Registered Manager, including staffing and care standards.
- Assist with budgeting, rota management, and household planning.
- Lead team meetings, encourage open communication, and involve staff in improvement ideas.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels and manage staff supervisions.
- Keep your knowledge up to date through required training.
- Raise concerns appropriately, escalating to the Responsible Individual when necessary.
What We’re Looking For
- A full UK driving licence.
- A Level 3 Diploma in Working with Children & Young People.
Working Conditions
This is a permanent, full-time position requiring 40 hours per week. You will report directly to the Registered Manager.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary of £28,915.33 per annum, with the potential to earn up to £35,635.33 with sleep-in shifts.
- Competitive salary plus up to £6,720 in sleep-in payments (6-8 per month at £70 each).
