Your New Role

We are excited to announce an opening for a Junior Cloud Technology Engineer at Filmbankmedia, a leader in non-theatrical film distribution. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the start of their technology career who is eager to dive into a wide range of technologies, including:

• AWS cloud services
• Software applications
• Automation
• Cybersecurity
• Data management
• OTT streaming platforms
• Technical support

In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Technology Solutions & Security to support business-critical systems, cloud infrastructure, internal users, and customer-facing applications. This position offers significant opportunities for learning and professional development across various domains.

Your Role Accountabilities

As a Junior Cloud Technology Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing technical support to internal users, including user lifecycle activities and account administration.
• Monitoring cloud-based applications and services, investigating technical issues, and assisting with updates.
• Offering first-line support for digital streaming platforms, addressing customer issues, and monitoring platform availability.
• Assisting with routine data validation, quality checks, and data-related investigations.
• Utilizing scripts, database queries, and technical tools to automate routine tasks.
• Following cybersecurity and content protection procedures while maintaining technical documentation.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and gradually taking on more responsibilities as you grow.

Qualifications & Experience

We’re looking for candidates who have:

• Previous experience in a technical role with hands-on coding experience.
• Familiarity with React and/or Next.js, JavaScript or TypeScript, REST APIs, and modern web technologies.
• Knowledge of AWS services and source control tools like Git.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and content protection concepts.
• Exposure to data migration or database projects, and experience supporting SaaS, cloud, media, or streaming platforms.

Working Conditions

This role is offered as a Hybrid Work Model, combining remote and in-office work. This arrangement will be agreed upon with your Line Manager and may be adjusted based on business needs.
