Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in one of Freedom’s largest projects? We’re looking for a Commercial Manager (Project Commercial Lead) to lead the commercial strategy for a major £190m project in London. This is your chance to provide strategic commercial leadership, governance, and reporting while collaborating closely with senior leadership and managing a dedicated commercial team.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all commercial activities across a high-value (£190m) project, ensuring robust governance and compliance.
  • Manage and develop a team of Senior Quantity Surveyors and Quantity Surveyors, upholding consistent commercial standards.
  • Oversee NEC3/NEC4 contract administration, risk management, change control, and compensation events.
  • Handle subcontractor procurement, negotiation, contract management, and final accounts.
  • Produce accurate CVRs and commercial reports for the Senior Leadership Team, providing strategic insights for forecasting, cost control, and financial risk management.
  • Ensure alignment of commercial processes with Freedom’s policies, procedures, and project governance.
  • Support program delivery through effective collaboration with project, engineering, and operational teams.
  • Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships through professional communication and integrity.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in commercial management or senior quantity surveying roles.
  • Proven NEC3/NEC4 contract experience.
  • Demonstrable experience leading a commercial team of 5+ SQS/QS.
  • Experience in producing and presenting CVRs and reports to Senior Leadership.
  • BSc/MSc in Quantity Surveying or a related commercial discipline.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • RICS or equivalent professional membership.
  • Experience in civils or groundworks projects.
