At NG Bailey IT Services, we’re on the lookout for a dynamic Bid Manager to spearhead the delivery of top-notch bids and proposals. This is your chance to enhance our bid management capabilities while playing a pivotal role in our growth journey!

As part of our expanding team, you’ll manage strategic opportunities across both defence and non-defence sectors. Collaborating closely with Sales, Solutions, Commercial, Operational, and Delivery teams, you’ll help secure profitable new business and support our ambitious growth plans.

Your Key Responsibilities

As our Bid Manager, you will take charge of the entire bid lifecycle, ensuring that submissions are not only compelling but also compliant, commercially robust, and delivered on time. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Manage bids, tenders, frameworks, and proposal submissions from qualification to contract award.
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary bid teams and drive activities to meet challenging deadlines.
  • Lead bid kick-off meetings, reviews, and governance approvals.
  • Develop bid plans, schedules, and submission strategies.
  • Review tender documentation and support bid/no-bid decision-making.
  • Collaborate with sales and solution teams to create compelling win themes and customer-focused value propositions.
  • Coordinate contributions from technical, operational, commercial, finance, and legal experts.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, framework rules, and internal governance processes.
  • Maintain bid libraries, lessons learned, and proposal best practices.
  • Support the transition of successful opportunities into delivery and mobilization teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance bid quality, efficiency, and win rates.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience managing bids, tenders, or proposals in technology, engineering, construction, managed services, or professional services.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written communication and proposal development capabilities.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • Experience with public or private sector procurement processes and framework agreements.
  • Security Clearance – either previously held or willing to undergo the process.
  • APMP Practitioner certification or similar bid management qualification.
  • Experience with government procurement frameworks such as CCS and G-Cloud.
  • Background in Managed Services, IT Services, Defence, or MOD environments.
  • Knowledge of contract negotiation and commercial risk assessment.
