The Role

As a Gym Manager, you will take on a varied role with responsibilities that span financial management to team development. Your focus will include:

  • Driving gym performance by setting actionable improvement plans and ensuring a safe, legal environment.
  • Creating a positive and motivating work atmosphere.
  • Building a highly engaged team of Personal Trainers and Fitness Coaches, understanding their motivations, and coaching them for career growth.
  • Recruiting new talent and proactively seeking out Personal Trainers and Fitness Coaches.
  • Delivering an exceptional member experience through a constant focus on service and standards.
  • Managing and enhancing the Group Exercise offerings within the gym.

Reporting to a Cluster Manager, you will collaborate with a talented team of Gym Managers and fitness professionals, all dedicated to creating an exceptional member experience and maintaining first-class standards. Your leadership will help foster a great environment for both your team and gym members, while also building strong relationships with other Gym Managers in your cluster to enhance overall performance.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous management experience with a passion for fitness and well-being.
  • A person who embodies our mantra of ‘Feel PureGym good’ in all actions.
  • A commitment to supporting others in reaching their full potential.
  • Comfort with managing budgets, financial reporting, and inventory.
  • A strong desire to do the right thing, with resilience, confidence, and integrity.
  • A Level 2 qualification in gym instructing, along with experience in teaching group exercise.
