About Us

Founded in 1987 by a dedicated group of foster parents, ISP is proud to be the UK’s first independent foster care agency. With over 30 years of experience, we’ve built a strong foundation of support for looked-after children, ensuring they receive the specialized care they deserve. Our Integrated Services Programme surrounds children and foster parents with a network of professionals, including social workers, fostering advisors, teachers, and therapists, all working together to provide a therapeutic approach to fostering.

Your Role

As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high standards of care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload.
  • Conducting regular supervision sessions to monitor practice and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments and decision-making.

What We’re Looking For

We seek a qualified and experienced Social Worker who is enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Social Work England-recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in children and families social work.
  • A desire to work within a therapeutic model of childcare.
  • A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation pertaining to children's services.
  • A full driving licence and unrestricted access to your own car.

Working Conditions

This is a part-time position, requiring you to work 4 days a week (28 hours). You will be part of a supportive team dedicated to making a positive impact.
