Location: Fordingbridge Day Nursery
Salary: £28,652 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday - 38 hours per week

Your Role as Nursery Chef
As our Nursery Chef, you will:
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to hygiene standards and completing the Kitchen Hygiene Checklist monthly.
- Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the nursery and kitchen.
- Prepare and cook age-appropriate meals for children, minimizing food waste.
- Accommodate dietary requirements and communicate them clearly to the team.
- Collaborate with nursery staff and parents to promote healthy eating habits.
- Manage food orders within budgetary constraints.

What You Need to Succeed
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Strong knowledge of managing dietary requirements, especially food allergies (essential).
- Understanding of COSHH regulations (essential).
- Experience working within a catering budget (essential).
- Relevant cooking experience in domestic or commercial settings (essential).
- Fluency in written and spoken English at GCSE grade C (or equivalent) (essential).
- A passion for cooking for young children (desirable).
