Are you ready to elevate your early years career? We’re excited to invite an experienced Nursery Practitioner or Room Leader to join us at Just Imagine Colchester Day Nursery.
Location: School House, Colchester Academy, Hawthorne Avenue, Essex, CO4 3JN
Hours: Full time - 36 hours
Salary: £29,245 per annum

Your Role as Room Leader
As a Room Leader, you will:
- Lead the room in delivering engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences.
- Support children’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development.
- Role model best practices and support staff development.
- Oversee high-quality learning records and systems (EyLog/EyMan).
- Ensure safety, wellbeing, and EYFS compliance at all times.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification: Essential
- Over 1 year’s experience in Early Years: Essential
- Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations: Desirable
- Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS: Essential
- Fluency in written and spoken English: Essential
