Position: Part-time - 16 hours (Thursday & Friday, 8am - 5pm)
Salary: £10,561.20 per annum
About Us
Chestnut House Kindergarten Nursery is nestled in the historic city of Colchester, conveniently located on a main road with excellent public transport links and just a stone's throw from the town centre. We are on the lookout for a Level 3 Practitioner to join our friendly team for two days a week, with flexibility around which days you work. Our nursery operates from 8:00am to 6:00pm, and you’ll be part of a supportive family environment that truly values and uplifts every team member.

Your Role as a Nursery Practitioner
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will:
- Ensure each child’s individual needs are met, delivering high-quality care and education in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Observe, assess, and plan engaging early years activities that cater to each child’s unique learning and development needs.
- Collaborate as a professional team member, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and applied.
- Follow risk assessments diligently and report any health and safety matters to management.
- Support the holistic development of children, including their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional growth.

What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you will need:
- Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification: Essential
- Fluency in written and spoken English: Essential
- Over 1 year’s experience in Early Years: Desirable
- Knowledge of the Statutory Framework for the EYFS: Desirable
