Children's Team Leader
Join Our Team as a Children's Team Leader!
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? At Bayview Childcare, we’re looking for a motivated Residential Home Team Leader to join our family-style home in Capernwray, Carnforth. You’ll be supporting up to four young individuals aged 8-18 with social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Key Responsibilities
- Produce, review, and maintain high-quality care plans that align with legislation, Ofsted standards, and Bayview policies.
- Build positive relationships with young people, engaging them in activities that foster their development and wellbeing.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment by modeling positive behavior and ensuring adherence to policies and health & safety standards.
- Record and communicate key information, sharing updates with young people, families, professionals, and the Registered Manager.
- Support daily operations in the absence of the Registered Manager, including staffing and care standards.
- Assist with budgeting, rota management, and household planning, including menus.
- Lead or contribute to team meetings, encouraging open communication and staff involvement in improvement ideas.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels, manage absences, and conduct staff supervisions.
- Keep your knowledge current through required training.
- Raise concerns appropriately, escalating to the Responsible Individual when necessary.
What We’re Looking For
- A full UK driving licence.
- A Level 3 Diploma in Working with Children & Young People.
Working Conditions
This is a permanent, full-time position requiring 40 hours per week. You will report directly to the Registered Manager and play a crucial role in maintaining our Good/Outstanding Ofsted standards.
Compensation & Benefits
We offer a competitive base salary of £28,915.33 per annum, with the potential to earn up to £35,635.33 per annum through sleep-in shifts. Additional benefits include:
- Up to £6,720 in sleep-in payments (6-8 per month at £70 each).
