Position: Part-Time Supervising Social Worker
Location: Doncaster
Hours: 21 hours per week (3 days)
Salary: Up to £22,800 per annum (£38,000 FTE)
Covering Area: Midlands and South Yorkshire (standard caseload within approximately one hour's drive of Doncaster)

Your Role
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting Foster Parents and ensuring the best outcomes for children in our care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct support to Foster Parents within a manageable caseload for effective supervision
- Conducting regular supervision sessions to monitor practice and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborating with children, young people, Foster Parents, and other professionals to facilitate meaningful participation in assessments and decision-making
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Supervising Social Worker who is enthusiastic and committed to the role. Key requirements include:
- A recognised professional qualification in social work and current Social Work England registration
- Previous experience in children and families social work
- A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and procedures related to children's services and fostering
- Strong IT skills
- Flexibility in working patterns and travel
- A full driving licence, confidence in driving, and access to a vehicle
Working Conditions
This role requires a collaborative approach with Foster Parents and a commitment to maintaining high standards through quality assurance and training. You will need to be an excellent report writer and able to work effectively under deadlines.
