About the Role

Are you ready to make a difference? Freedom is on the lookout for passionate Civils Gangers and Civils Operatives to join our dynamic Switchgear Replacement delivery team in the North West. As a vital member of our mobile crew, you will support critical infrastructure works, ensuring planned civils activities are carried out safely and efficiently across multiple sites.

Experience in the electrical DNO sector is essential!

This role is perfect for someone with a background in groundworks or civils, especially within utilities. If you take pride in high-quality workmanship and safe working practices, we want to hear from you!

Your Key Responsibilities

• Execute daily planned civils tasks on live sites
• Conduct excavations to expose underground services
• Perform reinstatement works, including:
  • Kerb laying
  • Tarmac laying
  • Flag laying
  • Block paving
  • Floor screeding
• Collaborate as part of a mobile team across the North West / North Wales
• Uphold high standards of Health & Safety at all times

What We’re Looking For

Essential Qualifications:

• Experience in a similar civils or groundworks role, ideally excavating around utilities
• Ability to work to specifications and drawings
• Confidence using small plant and equipment
• Strong Health & Safety awareness
• Full UK driving licence (company vehicle provided)

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience operating a tracked excavator
• Street Works (NRSWA) qualification
