Location: Fordingbridge Day Nursery

Salary: £28,652 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week

Your Role as Nursery Chef

As our Nursery Chef, you will:

  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all hygiene standards.
  • Prepare and cook age-appropriate meals for children, minimizing food waste.
  • Ensure all dietary requirements are met and clearly communicated to the team.
  • Collaborate with nursery staff and parents to promote healthy eating habits.
  • Manage food orders within budget to ensure quality and consistency.

What You Need to Succeed

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Strong knowledge of managing dietary requirements and food allergies (essential).
  • Understanding of COSHH regulations (essential).
  • Experience working within a catering budget while maintaining food service standards (essential).
  • Relevant cooking experience in domestic or commercial settings (essential).
  • Fluency in written and spoken English (GCSE grade C or equivalent, essential).
  • A passion for cooking for young children (desirable).
