Your New Role...
Join us at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden as a Facilities Maintenance Assistant Lead and become a vital part of maintaining our high-profile studio. You’ll support the Lead FMA in delivering essential maintenance across offices, sound stages, workshops, and external areas, ensuring every space is safe, functional, and visually appealing.
In this hands-on role, you’ll coordinate contractors, oversee daily workflows, and help develop a multi-skilled team. You’ll play a key role in maintaining high standards, monitoring performance, and ensuring safe working practices in a dynamic environment.
This position offers the chance to contribute to strategic planning, assist with vendor management, and help maintain the smooth operation of a complex site. It’s perfect for someone who thrives in a structured, professional setting and takes pride in delivering excellence.
Your Role Accountabilities...
- Plan, organize, and execute planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
- Assist in developing a long-term maintenance strategy aligned with WBSL Facilities objectives.
- Champion innovation and stay updated on evolving industry practices.
- Report progress and updates through various media, promptly diagnosing and resolving issues.
- Maintain accurate records, including sign-off sheets and compliance documentation.
- Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Train the team on equipment and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with H&S policies.
- React to emergencies, implementing permanent or temporary fixes to minimize downtime.
- Provide guidance to contractors working within the studio.
- Serve as the point of contact out of hours for any queries or issues.
Qualifications & Experiences...
- Supervisory experience in the construction industry or facilities management.
- Multi-trade experience.
- Strong understanding of COSHH regulations.
- Must hold a full UK driving license.
Desirable...
- City & Guilds Construction Qualifications.
- Building Construction Qualifications.
- Practical Training/Apprenticeship.
- Proficiency in Decorating and/or relevant qualifications.
- Groundworks/Drainage experience.
- CSCS Card.
- IPAF/Forklift certification.
Working Pattern
You will work a 40-hour week on a rota shift pattern, including evenings and weekends in line with studio operations. This may also include working on bank holidays and responding to emergencies outside of normal hours.
Onsite Working: This role is advertised as onsite, meaning all working hours will be carried out at the studio. WBD reserves the right to adjust this working agreement as necessary for business needs, with reasonable notice.
