Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges? Priory Hospital Dewsbury is on the lookout for a passionate Deputy Ward Manager to join our dedicated team on the Jubilee Ward. This is a full-time position, offering 37.5 hours per week with a competitive salary of £40,040 per year.

Located in the welcoming residential area of Earlsheaton, West Yorkshire, our hospital provides level 2 rehabilitation services for male patients with mental health disorders. We also offer neuropsychiatry support, care for older individuals, and community-focused rehabilitation.

While we are not a 24/7 acute hospital, we are well-equipped to support acute patients within our dementia services, providing a safe alternative to traditional psychiatric wards.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional patient care and supporting individuals on their recovery journey. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Collaborate with the Ward Manager and multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of clinical care.
  • Foster a positive patient experience and empower patients to achieve their full potential.
  • Support the development of a motivated and skilled workforce.
  • Play a key role in the day-to-day management of the ward.

What You Bring to the Table

We’re looking for someone who is resilient, empathetic, and ready to embrace the challenges of this rewarding role. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Active Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council (RMN qualified).
  • Trained Assessor/Supervisor.
  • Clinical Supervision experience is essential; training is desirable.
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development and a commitment to ongoing learning.
  • Good computer skills.
