Position: Senior Registered Mental Health Nurse
Salary: £39,392 to £41,953
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week

Located in Stapleton, Bristol, our hospital is a specialist mental health and addiction treatment service, providing fast access to care for a variety of psychiatric conditions and addictions. With convenient public transport links, we are easily accessible for both staff and patients.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior Registered Mental Health Nurse, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care by assessing, planning, and regularly reviewing care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and carers.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team and external professionals, ensuring effective communication and accurate documentation.
  • Take charge as Nurse in Charge, Bed Manager, or Site Coordinator when needed, prioritizing and delegating tasks to maintain a safe environment.
  • Support and mentor junior, agency, and student nurses, contributing to clinical governance and quality improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures, the Mental Capacity Act, and the NMC Code, while promoting positive outcomes for patients.

What You Bring to the Role

Essential Qualifications:

  • Qualified Registered Adult Nurse with 6-12 months of post-registration experience and active NMC Registration.

Desirable Experience:

  • 6-12 months of post-registration experience in Mental Health or Learning Disability Nursing, with evidence of continued professional development.
