At Priory Hospital Bristol, located in Stapleton, we specialize in mental health and addiction treatment for individuals, families, and couples. Our facility offers fast access to treatment for a range of psychiatric conditions and addictions, conveniently accessible by public transport.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a vital member of our compassionate team, you will:
- Deliver prescribed, person-centred nursing care to a defined patient group.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
- Act as a named nurse, monitoring and reviewing care plans while responding to changes in patients’ needs.
- Prioritize and delegate nursing duties effectively, taking on nurse-in-charge responsibilities when required.
- Maintain professional relationships with patients, relatives, and colleagues, contributing to clinical meetings and reflective practice.
- Support the development of newly qualified staff through preceptorship.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, Mental Capacity Act, and Priory policies.
What You Bring to the Role
Essential Qualifications:
- Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with 6-12 months post-registration experience.
- Active NMC Registration and completion of the preceptorship programme.
Beneficial Experience:
- Minimum 6 months post-registration experience within a Mental Health or Learning Disabilities Care Environment.
