Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges? Priory Hospital Dewsbury is on the lookout for a passionate Deputy Ward Manager to join our dedicated team on the Jubilee Ward. This is a full-time position, offering 37.5 hours per week with a competitive salary of £40,040 per year.
Located in the welcoming residential area of Earlsheaton, West Yorkshire, our hospital provides level 2 rehabilitation services for male patients with mental health disorders. We also offer neuropsychiatry support, care for older adults, and community-focused rehabilitation.
While we are not a 24/7 acute hospital, we excel in providing support to acute patients within our dementia services, ensuring they receive the care they need in a safe and therapeutic environment.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional patient care and supporting individuals on their recovery journey. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the effective leadership and daily management of the ward.
- Collaborating with the Ward Manager and multidisciplinary team to uphold high standards of clinical care.
- Promoting a positive patient experience and fostering a motivated, skilled workforce.
- Playing a pivotal role in service delivery and influencing patient outcomes.

What You Bring to the Table
We are looking for someone who is resilient, empathetic, and ready to embrace the challenges of this rewarding role. Your qualifications should include:
- Active Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council (RMN qualified).
- Trained Assessor/Supervisor.
- Clinical Supervision experience (essential), with additional training being desirable.
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development and a commitment to ongoing learning.
- Good computer skills.
