Welcome to Priory Hospital Hayes Grove! We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Registered Practitioner Psychologist to join our dedicated therapy team. This part-time position offers 30 hours per week on-site, with a competitive salary ranging from £48,250 to £58,250 based on experience (pro-rated salary of £38,600 to £46,600).

At Priory Hospital Hayes Grove, we provide world-class residential treatment for a variety of mental health conditions, including depression and drug and alcohol addiction. Our comprehensive services also include an eating disorder program for adults, outpatient treatment for young people, and private assessments for CAMHS and autism.

Located in Bromley, South East London, our hospital is renowned for its diverse therapeutic approaches and a multidisciplinary team that collaborates to create a robust support network for our patients.

What You'll Be Doing

As a vital member of our compassionate team, you will play a key role in enhancing the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people, along with their families and carers. Your personalized approach will help them build a healthier, more fulfilling future. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and delivering evidence-based interventions (primarily CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed approaches) for children and young people with complex mental health needs.
• Developing, implementing, and regularly reviewing individualized treatment plans, ensuring effective communication with children, parents/carers, and other professionals.
• Facilitating therapeutic interventions, including one-to-one therapy sessions and structured therapy groups.
• Providing specialist psychological input to our ASC assessment pathway for children and young people.
• Completing approximately 53% of your role in clinical hours, with the remaining time dedicated to non-clinical responsibilities.
• Maintaining high standards of clinical documentation, risk assessment, and outcome monitoring.
• Contributing to clinical governance, audit, service development, and research, while supporting supervision and reflective practice within the team.

What You'll Bring to the Role

• A recognized postgraduate qualification in clinical or counselling psychology (Doctorate or equivalent).
• Full registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist (without conditions or restrictions).
• A minimum of three years of post-qualification experience working with children and young people in mental health settings.
• Strong skills in psychological assessment, formulation, and delivery of evidence-based therapies.
• Excellent communication, risk management, and report-writing skills, along with a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Please note that due to the demand for in-person appointments after school hours, candidates should ideally be available to work from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm or 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.
