Salary: £180,880 FTE (Part Time - 22.5 Hours, Pro Rata: £108,528)

Nestled in Bartle, near Preston, our mental health hospital provides essential services for adults facing acute mental health challenges. Your Role: Making an Impact
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be at the forefront of patient recovery, crafting and delivering personalized treatment plans that prioritize dignity, respect, and exceptional care standards. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Provide clinical leadership and take overall responsibility for patient care.
- Lead multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk assessments, strategic reviews, and therapeutic planning.
- Act as Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).
- Oversee referrals, admissions, and contribute to pre-admission assessments.
- Offer specialist psychiatric expertise for multidisciplinary assessment, formulation, and treatment planning.

What You Bring to the Table
We’re looking for candidates who hold:
- MRCPsych (or an equivalent qualification)
- CCT (or equivalent) and inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register
- Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician status
In addition, you should demonstrate:
- Clinical knowledge, skills, and experience relevant to the specialty
- The ability to work within and lead a team
- A commitment to shared leadership, collaborative working, and service improvement
- Evidence of ongoing continuous professional development
