Position: Occupational Therapist
Salary: £31,249 - £38,040 (depending on experience)
Type: Full-time, fixed-term (37.5 hours per week)
Are you ready to make a difference? Kneesworth Hospital is on the lookout for a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated team for a 12-month fixed-term role. Located in Royston, Hertfordshire, our level 2 rehabilitation service offers a range of specialist recovery pathways for adults in a purpose-built facility. While we’re accessible by public transport, having a vehicle is recommended for ease of travel.
Your Role in Patient Recovery
As an Occupational Therapist, you will be at the heart of our patient recovery efforts. Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating and implementing personalized occupational therapy treatment plans to enhance patient recovery and wellbeing.
- Assessing patient needs and delivering both individual and group therapy while maintaining accurate clinical records.
- Supporting, supervising, and mentoring junior members of the occupational therapy team.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of care and compliance.
- Promoting occupational therapy services and contributing to the development of our local service.
- Building strong relationships with patients, families, and carers to ensure effective communication throughout rehabilitation.

What You Bring to the Table
Essential Qualifications:
Candidates must be HCPC registered and hold a Diploma in Occupational Therapy or a relevant degree (including honours degree, postgraduate certificate, postgraduate diploma, or Master’s pre-registration qualification in Occupational Therapy).
Desirable Experience:
Experience in a mental health inpatient service is a plus!
