Location: Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal, Stockport
Salary: £170,000
Hours: Full Time - 37.5 Hours
Our hospital is an inpatient mental health service for young people and adults, conveniently accessible by public transport. Local bus routes run along Wilmslow Road, and East Didsbury railway station is just 1–2 miles away.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in patient recovery, crafting and delivering personalized treatment plans while upholding dignity, respect, and the highest standards of care.
- Take clinical responsibility for patients, leading multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, and strategic assessments to foster a therapeutic environment.
- Supervise the referral and admission process, contributing to pre-admission assessments alongside your team.
- Provide a psychiatric perspective to the multidisciplinary team, focusing on the assessment, formulation, and treatment of adults.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
Essential Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, you must hold MRCPsych (or an equivalent qualification), a CCT (or equivalent), and be included on the GMC Specialist Register. Additionally, you should have:
- Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician status.
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge, skills, and experience relevant to the specialty.
- The ability to work within and lead a team, with a commitment to shared leadership and collaborative working.
- Evidence of ongoing continuous professional development.
