Welcome to Priory Hospital Hayes Grove! We are excited to invite a passionate Registered Practitioner Psychologist to join our dedicated therapy team, focusing on children and young people in an outpatient setting.

Our comprehensive services also extend to adults with eating disorders, offering inpatient, day care, and outpatient support. Additionally, we provide outpatient treatment for young people and private assessments for CAMHS and autism.

Located in the heart of Bromley, South East London, our renowned hospital is home to a specialist multidisciplinary team that collaborates to create a robust support network for our patients. We are experts in assessments and dedicated to advising on the best treatment options available.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a vital member of our compassionate team, you will play a key role in enhancing the mental health and wellbeing of children, young people, and their families. We take a personalized approach, utilizing proven therapies to empower our clients to build a healthier, more fulfilling future.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and delivering evidence-based interventions (primarily CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed approaches) for children and young people with complex mental health needs.
• Developing, implementing, and regularly reviewing individualized treatment plans, ensuring effective communication with children, parents/carers, and other professionals.
• Facilitating therapeutic interventions, including one-to-one therapy sessions and structured therapy groups to promote emotional wellbeing and resilience.
• Providing specialist psychological input to our ASC assessment pathway for children and young people.
• Maintaining high standards of clinical documentation, risk assessment, and outcome monitoring.
• Contributing to clinical governance, audit, service development, and research while supporting supervision and reflective practice within the team.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

• A recognized postgraduate qualification in clinical or counselling psychology (Doctorate or equivalent).
• Full registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist (with no conditions or restrictions).
• A minimum of three years of post-qualification experience working with children and young people in mental health settings.
• Strong skills in psychological assessment, formulation, and delivery of evidence-based therapies.
• Excellent communication, risk management, and report-writing skills, along with a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Please note that due to the demand for in-person appointments after school hours, candidates should ideally be available to work from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm or 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.
