Join Our Team at Priory Hospital Ayr Clinic!

We are looking for a dedicated Mental Health Nurse or Learning Disability Nurse to join our low secure forensic ward. This full-time position offers 37.5 hours per week with a competitive salary ranging from £36,176 to £41,953 based on your experience.

Please note: This role is not suitable for newly qualified nurses or those in preceptorship.

Working Hours

You will work rotational shifts over a two-week period:

  • Day Shift: 8:00 AM - 8:15 PM
  • Night Shift: 8:00 PM - 8:15 AM

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Week 2: Wednesday and Thursday

Due to our location, having access to a vehicle is recommended, but we are also accessible via local public transport:

  • Local bus/train station
  • Ayr town centre located 3 miles away

Your Role

As a vital member of our team, you will:

  • Support patient recovery by assessing and delivering tailored treatment plans.
  • Ensure dignity, respect, and high standards of care for all patients.

What You’ll Bring

Essential Qualifications:

  • Current professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in Mental Health or Learning Disability.
  • Knowledge of NMC guidelines and professional practices.
  • Evidence of post-registration continuing professional development.
  • A positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement, and quality.
