Location: Priory Hospital Preston
Salary: £180,880 FTE (Part Time - 22.5 Hours, Pro Rata: £108,528)

Priory Hospital Preston is looking for a passionate Consultant Psychiatrist to join our dedicated team in our specialized eating disorders unit. This part-time role offers you the chance to work 22.5 hours per week in a supportive and dynamic environment.
About Us
Located in Bartle, near Preston, Priory Hospital is a leading mental health facility providing care for adults with acute mental health needs and eating disorders across four wards. Our hospital is easily accessible via public transport, with local bus routes and Preston railway station nearby, as well as convenient access to the M55 motorway.
Your Role
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a pivotal role in patient recovery by:
- Providing clinical leadership and taking overall responsibility for patient care.
- Leading multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk assessments, strategic reviews, and therapeutic planning.
- Acting as the Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).
- Overseeing referrals, admissions, and contributing to pre-admission assessments.
- Offering specialist psychiatric expertise for multidisciplinary assessment, formulation, and treatment planning.
What You Bring
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- MRCPsych (or an equivalent qualification) and a CCT (or equivalent).
- Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register, along with Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician status.
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge, skills, and experience relevant to the specialty.
- The ability to work within and lead a team, with a commitment to shared leadership and collaborative working.
- Evidence of ongoing continuous professional development.
