Priory Hospital Kemple View is seeking a dedicated HCPC registered Principal Psychologist to join our dynamic team. This is a part-time position (22.5 hours) based in Blackburn, Lancashire, with a competitive salary ranging from £34,950 to £40,950.

About Us

At Priory Hospital Kemple View, we provide level 2 rehabilitation and secure services for adult males with mental health conditions and/or personality disorders. Our 90-bedded facility is easily accessible by public transport, with a local train station just a 3-minute drive away. While public transport is available, having access to a vehicle is recommended for convenience.

Your Role

As a Principal Psychologist, you will be at the forefront of delivering and developing our psychology services. Your expertise will be crucial in providing high-quality psychological input tailored to the unique needs of our patients. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the psychology provision for a designated ward or group of patients, in collaboration with the Head of Psychology.
• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, formulations, and evaluations to inform patient care.
• Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions, both individually and in groups, tailored to patient presentations and care pathways.

Essential Qualifications:

• HCPC registration is required.
• Proficiency in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and at least two additional therapeutic modalities relevant to local disorders.
• Strong understanding of therapeutic principles with a commitment to ongoing training.
• Substantial experience working with complex clients and delivering tailored interventions.
• Formal training in clinical supervision and proven leadership capabilities.
