Salary: Pro rata £35,117 - FTE salary is £43,896
Hours: Part Time / 30 Hours per week

Located in beautiful Gosport, Hampshire, Priory Hospital Nelson House is a rehabilitation service that supports males with complex mental health conditions, including those with challenging behaviors and substance misuse issues. Join us and be part of a dedicated team!
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will:
- Help patients achieve greater independence and improved quality of life through person-centered, evidence-based care.
- Manage a caseload of patients with complex mental health, neurological, and physical needs.
- Deliver specialist assessments and tailored treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
- Lead and develop a small therapy team, providing clinical supervision and support to an Occupational Therapy Assistant and an Activities Coordinator.
- Oversee equipment and discharge assessments, contributing to service improvements and ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice.
- Work closely with carers and the Medical Director to support the carers group.
What You Bring to the Table
We are looking for a knowledgeable, energetic, and personable Occupational Therapist who puts patients at the heart of everything they do. To thrive in this role, you should have:
- HCPC registration and a Diploma in Occupational Therapy, or a degree, honours degree, or Master’s in Occupational Therapy.
- Prior experience in mental health services as a qualified member of staff.
- Experience supervising Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, and students.
- Training in relevant models of practice such as MoHO, VdTMoCA, and Sensory Integration.
