Located in Bartle, near Preston, our mental health hospital provides essential services for adults facing acute mental health challenges and eating disorders across four specialized wards.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing of our patients. We believe in a personalized approach, utilizing proven therapies to help individuals regain confidence and build a healthier future. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Take clinical responsibility for patients, leading multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, and strategic assessments.
• Act as the Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).
• Supervise the referral and admission process, contributing to pre-admission assessments alongside your team.
• Provide a psychiatric perspective to the multidisciplinary team for effective assessment, formulation, and treatment of adults.

What You Bring to the Table

We’re looking for a strong team player who is enthusiastic about a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Here’s what you need:

• MRCPsych (or equivalent qualification) and a CCT (or equivalent).
• Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register, along with Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician status.
• Demonstrated clinical knowledge, skills, and experience relevant to the specialty.
• A commitment to shared leadership, collaborative working, and continuous professional development.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and confidence with patients.
