Join Our Team as a Deputy Home Manager!
Old Vicarage is on the lookout for a passionate Deputy Home Manager to become a vital part of our dedicated team. This full-time role offers 40 hours a week at an hourly rate of £14.95 (equivalent to £31,096 per annum).
Located near the heart of Dewsbury, the Old Vicarage provides residential support for seven adults with diverse needs, including those with learning disabilities, mental health challenges, and autism spectrum conditions.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a key member of our compassionate team, you will play an essential role in enhancing the wellbeing of our residents. We pride ourselves on a personalized approach, utilizing proven therapies to empower individuals to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives. Your contributions will be pivotal in their recovery journey.
- Lead regular staff meetings to promote open communication and feedback.
- Maintain positive relationships with commissioners and referrers to build confidence in our services.
- Ensure all risk assessments (clinical, COSHH, Legionella, etc.) are conducted thoroughly and promptly.
- Monitor cleanliness standards to comply with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Induct and orient new staff efficiently, ensuring they receive necessary training for seamless integration.

- Proven experience in a Deputy role.
- A natural leader who is approachable, supportive, and skilled at inspiring others.
- Experience working with individuals with Learning Disabilities and Autism.
- Background in a similar care environment.
- Organized and proactive, with confidence in managing care-related tasks (risk assessments, audits, compliance).
- A genuine passion for delivering high-quality care that matters to residents and their families.
- A full UK driving license for a minimum of 3 years is desirable.
