Your New Role

Join us at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden as a Facilities Maintenance Assistant Lead and become a vital part of our high-profile studio's upkeep and presentation. In this role, you will:

  • Support the Lead FMA in delivering essential maintenance across offices, sound stages, workshops, and external areas.
  • Ensure every space remains safe, functional, and visually appealing.
  • Coordinate contractors and oversee daily workflows.
  • Help develop a multi-skilled team and maintain high standards.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and assist with vendor management.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Plan, organize, and execute planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in developing a long-term maintenance strategy aligned with WBSL Facilities department objectives.
  • Champion innovation and stay updated on evolving industry practices.
  • Report progress and updates through various media outlets, responding to and resolving issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records, including sign-off sheets and compliance records.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Monitor health and safety compliance, ensuring correct PPE is worn.
  • Train the team on all equipment and maintain training records.
  • React to emergencies with a focus on implementing permanent or temporary fixes.
  • Provide assistance and direction to contractors within the studio.
  • Be the point of contact out of hours for any queries or issues.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Essential: Supervisory experience within the construction industry or facilities.
  • Multi-trade experience.
  • Strong understanding of COSHH.
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Desirable:
    • City & Guilds Construction Qualifications.
    • Building Construction Qualifications.
    • Practical Training/Apprenticeship.
    • Proficient in Decorating and/or Qualification.
    • Ground works/Drainage experience.
    • CSCS Card.
    • IPAF/Forklift certification.

Working Pattern

You will work a 40-hour week on a rota shift pattern, including evenings and weekends in line with studio operations. This may also involve working on bank holidays and responding to emergencies outside of normal working hours.

Onsite Working

This role is advertised as Onsite, meaning all working hours will be carried out at the studio. Please note that WBD reserves the right to change this working agreement as necessary for business needs, with reasonable notice.
