Position: Occupational Therapist
Salary: £31,249 - £38,040 (depending on experience)
Type: Full-time, fixed-term (37.5 hours per week)

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others? Kneesworth Hospital is seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated team for a 12-month fixed-term role. Located in Royston, Hertfordshire, our level 2 rehabilitation service offers a range of specialist recovery pathways for adults in a purpose-built facility. While we are accessible by public transport, having a vehicle is recommended for ease of travel.

Your Role in Patient Recovery

As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting our patients on their journey to recovery. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and delivering personalized occupational therapy treatment plans to enhance patient wellbeing.
  • Assessing patient needs and providing both individual and group therapy while maintaining accurate clinical records.
  • Supporting, supervising, and mentoring junior members of the occupational therapy team.
  • Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of care and compliance.
  • Promoting occupational therapy services and contributing to the growth of our local service.
  • Building strong relationships with patients, families, and carers to ensure effective communication throughout rehabilitation.

What You Bring to the Table

Essential Qualifications:
Candidates must be HCPC registered and hold a Diploma in Occupational Therapy or a relevant degree (including honours degree, postgraduate certificate, postgraduate diploma, or Master’s pre-registration qualification in Occupational Therapy).

Desirable Experience:
Experience in a mental health inpatient service is a plus!
