Position: Ward Manager in Mental Health Nursing
Location: Priory Hospital Glasgow/Eating Disorder Unit
Salary: Up to £50,329 depending on experience
Hours: Full Time (37.5 Hours)

Priory Hospital Glasgow is seeking a passionate and dedicated Ward Manager to lead our compassionate team in providing exceptional care for individuals facing mental health challenges. Our specialist inpatient treatment center supports a variety of conditions, including depression, addictions, and autism assessments for adults. Conveniently located with easy access to public transport and major motorways, we are committed to fostering a supportive environment for both our patients and staff.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Ward Manager, you will:

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversee the daily operations of our Eating Disorder Unit.
  • Lead and support a dedicated nursing team, ensuring high standards of patient care.
  • Manage staffing, compliance, and promote a positive, safe environment for patients and colleagues.
  • Embrace our leadership behaviours, which are essential for fostering a high-performing culture focused on delivering the best care.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Qualifications:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with a minimum of two years in a leadership role.
  • Experience supervising nursing or care staff.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
  • Trained Assessor/Supervisor (or willingness to achieve this).
  • Proficient in computer skills.
  • Desire to pursue further clinical, leadership, and management training.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a clinical setting.
