Location & Hours

Location: Sheffield

Hours: 08:30 – 17:00 (40 hours a week)

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in managing commercial resources to maximize planned gross margin through effective contract and subcontract management. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Managing commercial resources to enhance budgeted profitability.
  • Tendering, evaluating, and appointing subcontractors, along with placing orders for materials and plant.
  • Identifying, evaluating, and negotiating contract variations with customers and suppliers.
  • Measuring and valuing work to support invoicing and payments.
  • Producing monthly VCRs and End Life Forecasts, while managing cash flows.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if you:

  • Possess strong communication skills and have experience working with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and supply chains.
  • Hold relevant qualifications (Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying is desirable) and have experience in a similar role.
  • Exhibit excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Are flexible and can work both as part of a team and independently.
  • Are proficient in a range of IT packages, including Microsoft Office and bespoke software.
