Position: Part-Time | 30 hours per week | Site-based
Salary: £48,250 - £58,250 (based on experience) | Pro-rated Salary: £38,600 - £46,600

Located in Bromley, South East London, our renowned hospital is home to a specialist multidisciplinary team dedicated to creating a strong support network for our patients. We utilize diverse therapeutic approaches to ensure the best treatment options for each individual.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a vital member of our compassionate therapy team, you will play a key role in promoting and improving the mental health and wellbeing of children, young people, and their families. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and delivering evidence-based interventions (primarily CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed approaches).
• Developing and regularly reviewing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with children, parents/carers, and other professionals.
• Facilitating therapeutic interventions, including one-on-one therapy sessions and structured group therapy.
• Providing specialist psychological input to our ASC assessment pathway.
• Maintaining high standards of clinical documentation and compliance with professional frameworks.
• Contributing to clinical governance, service development, and research initiatives.

What You Bring to the Role

We’re looking for someone who is resilient, empathetic, and ready to embrace the challenges of this rewarding role. To succeed, you should have:

• A recognized postgraduate qualification in clinical or counselling psychology (Doctorate or equivalent).
• Full registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist.
• A minimum of three years of post-qualification experience working with children and young people in mental health settings.
• Strong skills in psychological assessment, formulation, and evidence-based therapy delivery.
• Excellent communication, risk management, and report-writing abilities.

Please note that due to the demand for after-school appointments, candidates should ideally be available to work from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm or 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.
