Your Role in the STEP Programme
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Kier Nuvia Joint Venture (KNJV). As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering package proposals and ensuring exceptional value for money management. Your contributions will help maximize profitability, improve cash flow, and manage commercial risk while fostering strong client relationships and outstanding service delivery.
What Will You Be Responsible For?
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will:
- Support the delivery of commercial objectives, profitability targets, and cash performance across the programme.
- Provide commercial advice to project teams and develop detailed cost forecasts and performance reports.
- Administer NEC4 contracts, including compensation events, early warnings, and contractual notices.
- Manage subcontractors from procurement through to final account, fostering collaborative relationships throughout.
- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities while mentoring junior team members.
What Are We Looking For?
This role is perfect for you if:
- You have significant experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within major infrastructure, energy, nuclear, defence, or complex construction projects.
- You have demonstrable experience managing complex subcontract procurement and commercial package management.
- You possess a thorough understanding of the NEC suite of contracts.
- You have strong cost planning, forecasting, and reporting capabilities, along with excellent negotiation skills.
- You can think strategically, manage risk effectively, and build strong stakeholder relationships.
