Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We’re looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic STEP Programme team based in West Burton, with the flexibility of some hybrid working!

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the STEP Programme, contributing to package proposals and ensuring exceptional value for money management. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the delivery of commercial objectives, profitability targets, and cash performance across the programme.
  • Providing commercial advice to project teams and developing detailed cost forecasts and performance reports.
  • Administering NEC4 contracts, including managing compensation events, early warnings, and contractual notices.
  • Managing subcontractors from procurement through to final account, fostering collaborative relationships throughout.
  • Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities while mentoring junior team members.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if you have:

  • Significant experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within major infrastructure, energy, nuclear, defence, or complex construction projects.
  • Demonstrable experience managing complex subcontract procurement and commercial package management.
  • A thorough understanding of the NEC suite of contracts.
  • Strong cost planning, forecasting, and reporting capabilities, along with excellent negotiation skills.
  • The ability to think strategically, manage risk effectively, and build strong stakeholder relationships.
