Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic HS2 North Calvert Civils Package team in beautiful Buckinghamshire. In this pivotal role, you’ll be instrumental in delivering commercial excellence across one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects.
Location & Hours
Location: HS2 North Calvert Civils Package, Buckinghamshire
Hours: 45 hours per week (some flexibility available—just let us know during our conversation!)
Compensation
Salary: Starting from £65,000 per year

Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in managing commercial resources and ensuring the success of our exciting project. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Managing commercial resources to maximize planned gross margin through effective contract control
- Preparing and submitting valuations, claims, and contract performance data
- Assessing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks
- Maximizing cash flow through measurement, valuation, and invoicing processes
- Valuing subcontractor work and certifying interim and final payments
What We’re Looking For
This role could be a perfect fit for you if you possess:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the construction or highways sector
- A relevant qualification, such as a Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying (desirable)
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
- A well-organized approach, with proven time management and the ability to prioritize effectively
