Credit Risk Analyst

Amigo Loans is the leader in the UK guarantor lending space, enabling those with little or no credit history to access loans in partnership with a family member or friend who acts as a guarantor.
Founded 15 years ago, Amigo Loans went public in 2018 and is now a listed on the London stock Exchange.
We are looking for a motivated, ambitious and commercially minded credit risk data analyst to join our analytics team.

Our team plays a vital role within the business, working cross-functionally supporting all areas of the business delivering solutions by building MI reports and conducting advanced data analysis.

Key responsibilities include:

* Take ownership and delivery of a range of credit risk and data projects, including analytics, reporting, portfolio management, automating processes, testing and more.

* Analysis of data as well as identifying trends and developing an in-depth understanding of our customers to improve strategies and business performance.

* Monitor strategy and portfolio performance.

* Adopt a continuous improvement mind-set, constantly identifying opportunities to enhance processes, procedures, tools, technologies, etc.

* Use a range of tools, including SQL and Excel to report and monitor all aspects of our credit performance, across a range of channels and products

* Design, develop and utilise effective analysis and management information, identifying potential changes and identifying areas to further investigate and enhance.

About you:

To be considered for this opportunity, we are looking for the following:

* The successful candidate will be passionate about Amigo's mission and be genuinely focused on growing a business that does the best for our customers.

* At least 2 years of experience in a data and analytics driven credit risk / analytics team.

* Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

* Experience and familiarity with SQL or similar programming language

* A technical background in computer science, mathematics, economics, statistics or equivalent experience

* A continuous improvement mind-set, constantly identifying opportunities to enhance processes, procedures, tools, technologies, etc.

* A strong academic background in quantitative discipline

* Team player willing to get involved in team activities
