Your Role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will be a vital part of our team in Southampton, supporting children and young people in a nurturing environment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting young people with their daily routines
• Building positive relationships and being a trusted adult
• Helping them develop confidence, life skills, and independence
• Ensuring they feel safe, supported, and encouraged every day

Experience working with children or young people is a plus, but what matters most is your attitude and willingness to learn. We provide comprehensive training to ensure you feel confident in your role from day one!

Working Pattern

Your shifts will be on a rotating schedule:

• Each shift lasts 24 hours (you are paid to sleep at the home)
• Typically, you will complete two or three shifts in a row
• Work will include a mix of weekdays and weekends
• Opportunities for overtime are available if desired

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should:

• Hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Health and Social Care, or equivalent (or be willing to work towards it)
• Have a full UK driving licence and access to a car (travel required)
• Be friendly and able to communicate effectively with children and colleagues
• Be willing to complete an enhanced DBS check (cost covered by us)
