Opened in November 2022, our independent specialist provision in the East Midlands is designed for children and young people living with families, foster carers, or in residential homes.

As we expand to accommodate growing pupil numbers in our Lower School (ages 7-13), we maintain a supportive environment with class sizes capped at 6 pupils, each guided by a qualified teacher and up to 2 teaching assistants.

We cater to pupils with SEMH and various diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, attachment needs, and mild/moderate learning needs. This is your chance to make a real impact!

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Secondary Science GCSE Class Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
• Support the class team in facilitating learning and promoting positive behaviours.
• Monitor pupil progress and collaborate with staff to meet individual needs.
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities and trips.
• Build positive relationships to enhance learning outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• A degree-level education.
• Experience teaching GCSE Science at the secondary level.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development.
• A willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
