Join Our Team as a Supervising Social Worker - Fostering!
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? Do you have the skills and experience to support foster parents in their vital role? If so, we want you to be part of our dedicated team at the Integrated Services Programme (ISP) in Enfield!
About Us
Founded in 1987 by a group of committed foster parents, ISP is proud to be the UK's first independent foster care agency. With over 30 years of experience, we have built a strong foundation of support for looked-after children, especially those who have faced challenging beginnings. Our mission is to place the child at the heart of everything we do, surrounded by a comprehensive range of support services.
Our approach is unique and therapeutic, involving a collaborative network of social workers, fostering advisors, teachers, and therapists. Together, we empower foster parents and children to navigate even the most complex situations.
Your Role
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high standards of care. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of up to £39,500 per annum, along with a generous £3,000 car allowance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to foster parents, managing a realistic caseload for effective supervision.
- Conduct regular supervision sessions, monitoring practices and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments, planning, and decision-making.
- Maintain high standards through quality assurance and training for both prospective and current foster parents.
What We’re Looking For
We seek a qualified and experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker who is:
- Enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents and their invaluable skills.
- Experienced in working collaboratively with foster parents and within a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Knowledgeable about relevant legislation in children's services.
- Capable of excellent report writing and meeting strict deadlines.
- Holds a Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
- Possesses a full driving license with unrestricted access to your own car.
Working Conditions
This is a demanding yet rewarding position that requires dedication and a proactive approach. You will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by ISP.
Why Join Us?
At ISP, we value our team members and offer:
- 30 days of annual leave, increasing to 35 days with length of service, plus bank holidays.
- A comprehensive company pension and life assurance (x2).
- An employee discount scheme and a medical cash plan.
We are an equal opportunities employer and encourage applications from all qualified candidates. ISP is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults, and we expect all staff to share this commitment.
If you’re ready to make a meaningful impact in the world of fostering, we’d love to hear from you!
