Salary: Up to £37,500 plus an SEN allowance of £2,679

Contract: Full-time, term time only (Part-time candidates welcome, 3 days per week)

Opened in November 2022, our independent specialist provision is designed for pupils living with families, foster carers, or in residential homes.

As we expand to accommodate growing pupil numbers in our Lower School (ages 7-13), we maintain small class sizes of no more than 6 pupils, each supported by a qualified teacher and up to 2 teaching assistants. Our focus is on pupils with SEMH and various diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and more.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
• Support the class team in facilitating learning and promoting positive behaviors.
• Monitor student progress and collaborate with staff to meet individual needs.
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities and trips.
• Build positive relationships to support learning outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Degree-level education
• Experience teaching GCSE Science at the secondary level
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH
• Strong behavior management skills
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
