We cater to those living with their families, foster carers, or in residential homes. Since opening our doors in November 2022, we have been expanding our team to accommodate the growing number of pupils in our Lower School, serving ages 7-13.

With class sizes capped at seven pupils, each class is supported by a qualified teacher and up to two teaching assistants. We focus on pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH), including diagnoses such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and more.

Role Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, tailored to meet the SEMH needs of all pupils.
• Support the class team in creating learning opportunities and fostering positive behaviors.
• Monitor and report on pupils' progress, collaborating with staff to ensure their needs are met.
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities, including extracurricular events and school trips.
• Build strong relationships with pupils to encourage interaction and positive learning outcomes.
• Assist the Exams Officer with the planning and administration of internal and external examinations.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• A strong educational background at degree level.
• Previous successful experience in SEND teaching.
• Good understanding of the examination process.
• Experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting.
• Effective behavior management techniques.
• A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
