Job Details

Location: Thimble Mill Lane, Birmingham, B7 5HR

Hours: Permanent full-time, 40 hours per week

Salary: Starting from £30,000, depending on experience and qualifications

Your Role

As a Highways Maintenance Operative, you’ll be an integral part of our supportive highways team. Your skills will be valued, and you’ll have the chance to grow personally and professionally. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Installing and upgrading streetlighting assets as part of a dedicated highways crew
• Setting up and maintaining safe working sites on highways
• Completing safety-critical emergency works and required documentation
• Engaging professionally with members of the public
• Assisting with risk assessments and adhering to all safety procedures

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if:

• You have knowledge of streetlighting works (HEA, NHSS8)
• You thrive in collaborative teamwork and enjoy building relationships
• You’re committed to safety and care about the communities we serve
• You hold a HGV Class 2 licence
