Location

Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire (with occasional travel to various sites required)

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm (with a one-hour lunch break). Please note that out-of-hours cover will be required.

Your Role

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be an integral part of our Facilities Management team. Your responsibilities will include:

• Completing planned preventative maintenance tasks, including Legionella compliance, HVAC systems, pumps, compressors, and AHUs.
• Responding to reactive maintenance requests, diagnosing faults, and repairing mechanical systems and plumbing.
• Accurately recording all maintenance activities on our CAFM system using mobile technology.
• Liaising with the helpdesk and contract management team, and inducting subcontractors to ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
• Participating in an out-of-hours on-call rota and conducting weekly site inspections.

What We’re Looking For

This role is perfect for you if you:

• Hold a full driving license and relevant qualifications such as City and Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3.
• Have experience with renewables, heat pumps, air conditioning, air handling units, and general mechanical maintenance in commercial properties.
• Are confident using mobile technology to update work systems and communicate effectively with teams and clients.
• Are comfortable with the physical aspects of the role and committed to maintaining the highest health and safety standards.
