Join Our Team as an Integrated Services Programme (ISP) Supervising Social Worker!
Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of children and families? We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Supervising Social Worker to join our fostering team based in Ashurst, Southampton. With a competitive salary of up to £39,500 per annum and a range of fantastic benefits, this is an opportunity you won't want to miss!
About Us
Founded in 1987 by a group of dedicated foster parents, we are proud to be the UK’s first independent foster care agency. With over 30 years of experience, we have always placed the child at the heart of our mission. Our Integrated Service Programme (ISP) provides a comprehensive range of support services, ensuring that children and foster parents receive the specialized assistance they need.
Our team includes social workers, fostering advisors, teachers, and therapists, all working collaboratively to create a nurturing environment for children. We pioneered a therapeutic approach to fostering, and we continue to lead the way in providing exceptional care.
Your Role
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will:
- Provide direct support to foster parents, managing a realistic caseload that allows for meaningful supervision.
- Conduct regular supervision sessions, monitoring practice and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments, planning, and decision-making related to safeguarding and child protection.
What We’re Looking For
We seek a qualified and experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker who is:
- Enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents.
- Experienced in working collaboratively with foster parents as professional colleagues.
- Knowledgeable about relevant legislation in children's services.
- Skilled in report writing and able to meet strict deadlines.
- Possessing a full driving license and unrestricted access to your own car.
Requirements
- A Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
- Previous experience in children and families social work.
- A comprehensive understanding of legislation and publications related to children's services.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a supportive and dynamic work environment. You will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by ISP.
Why Join Us?
We offer a range of benefits to support your well-being and professional growth:
- £3,000 Car Allowance
- 30 days' annual leave, increasing to 35 days with length of service + bank holidays
- Company Pension
- Life Assurance x2
- Employee Discount Scheme
- Medical Cash Plan
At ISP, we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. We encourage applications from all suitably qualified candidates and are proud to be an equal opportunities employer.
If you are ready to take on this rewarding challenge and help shape the future of fostering, we would love to hear from you!
